Song Kol Lake is a large alpine lake and truly a gift of nature. It is located at an altitude of 3016 m above sea level, being so high, only in summer you can fully enjoy its blue, get acquainted with the life of modern nomads, live in Kyrgyz yurts and taste the national dishes of our hospitable Kyrgyz people. We learn about everyday life and Kyrgyz traditions, national games, huge flocks of sheep, horses, cows, we may meet camels and yaks. We will plunge into the habitual habitat of a nomadic people, which for decades has not lost its uniqueness.

Ala Kol Lake is a large high-mountain glacial lake, located in the eastern part of the Terskey Ala-Too Range on the southern shore of Ysyk Kol Lake (altitude 3900 m). The lake is located in a vast basin between the Karakol and Altyn Arashan Canyons and has no runoff. The name of the lake from Kyrgyz translates as “a motley lake” which fits perfectly to this place. Ala Kol really amazes with its colors: bright turquoise water adjoins mountains, snow, green grass and flowers.

One of the draws of Kol Kogur Lake is the untouched, pristine environment it inhabits. Forests of fir trees neighbor the lake to the west and grassy fields to the east. The northern edge of Kol Kogur Lake contains a natural dam caused by a landslide many years ago. A river flows out of the lake, becoming of Chong Kemin’s tributaries.
