Song Kol Lake is a large alpine lake and truly a gift of nature. It is located at an altitude of 3016 m above sea level, being so high, only in summer you can fully enjoy its blue, get acquainted with the life of modern nomads, live in Kyrgyz yurts and taste the national dishes of our hospitable Kyrgyz people. We learn about everyday life and Kyrgyz traditions, national games, huge flocks of sheep, horses, cows, we may meet camels and yaks. We will plunge into the habitual habitat of a nomadic people, which for decades has not lost its uniqueness.

Altyn-Arashan (Golden Source) is a high-mountain gorge in the eastern part of theTerskey-Ala-Too ridge. This gorge is one of the most popular tourist places in Kyrgyzstan due to its unique nature, hot springs located right in the gorge, extensive spruce forests and stunning views. In the evening it is possible to take a thermal water bath. They are located at a record height of 2600 meters and have a healing effect due to the content of radon and hydrogen sulfide in water, maintaining high temperatures all year round: 35 degrees for a radon source and 41 degrees for hydrogen sulfide.

DETAILED ITINERARY:

  • DAY 1: MANAS AIRPORT - CHONG KEMIN NATIONAL PARK

      Meeting at the airport. Departure to Chong Kemin. National Park is a uniquely beautiful natural zone with a length of fifty kilometers in the valley of the Chong Kemin River serves as a treasure trove of rare species of flora and fauna. Glaciers here harmoniously coexist with forest zones and steppe areas, the landscapes are natural and untouched by time. The natural park covers an area of 500 hectares; the height of its location smoothly increases from 1,400 to 2,800 m. After resting, a short horse ride to the panorama, where a magnificent view of the valley opened up.

  • DAY 2: CHONG KEMIN - TUZ ASHU - SONG KOL LAKE

      Transfer to Jumgal valley to the starting point of the horse ride. After lunch we leave for Song Kol. Crossing the Tuz Ashuu pass (3400m). There is a magnificent view of the lake. The lake is surrounded by alpine meadows. Continue on to the yurt camp.

      Note: the living conditions in the yurts are very traditional, which means that a person will have the opportunity to share a toilet outside the yurt and experience a real Kyrgyz way of life. Single accommodation is not available, 3-5 people in the yurt.

  • DAY 3: BATAI ARAL - TAYLAK BAATYR MAUSOLEUM - TUZ ASHU

      On the northern shore of the lake is the only stone building in the entire valley - the Taylak Baatyr mausoleum, built at the end of the 19th century. In the evening, it's time to swim in the crystal clear lake.

  • DAY 4: TUZ ASHUU - TULPAR TASH

      We will visit Tulpar Tash, which is one of the most beautiful places of Song Kol lake. The luster of the surface of the lake can be seen from afar. On the shores of the lake there are burial mounds of noble leaders of nomadic tribes and stone statues of the Turks of Kir-Jol (VI-VIII centuries). Jailoo is located northwest of Song Kol Lake, where nomads place their yurts during the summer season.

  • DAY 5: SONG KOL - ISSYK KUL LAKE

      Continue our trip to Issyk Kul Lake. We will go to Teskey Torpok pass (or serpentine called "33 parrots"). The pass extends from Song Kol to Naryn. One of the most famous and beautiful passes.       fter lunch your waiting show hunting with golden eagles (Salbuurun) in Kyrgyzstan is a unique chance to comprehend all the secrets of this ancient art, adopting a thousand-year experience of hereditary nomad hunters. During the hunt, you will be able to trace and experience for yourself how a graceful, dexterous and proud bird shoots from the hand of the host to the very clouds and rapidly falls on its prey. Also, you will have the opportunity to consider the bird closer and even hold it in your arms.
      In the evening, it's time to swim in the crystal clear lake.

  • DAY 6: FAIRY TALE CANYON - KARAKOL - ALMALUU GORGE

      The next day we will drive to Almaluu and start horse riding to Almaluu gorge. We will summit Almalu (Ortok) pass (3650m). On the way we will visit Fairy Tale Canyon. Among weird rock formations there is a ridge that resembles two walls of fortification, which looks like the Great Wall of China, it rises vertically out of the surrounding sandstone. The rocks vary in color from a sandy yellow to red and orange, there are colorful striations visible in places, which show the different chemical composition of the rocks.

  • DAY 7: ALMALUU GORGE - ALTYN ARASHAN GORGE

      Horse riding to Altyn Arashan Gorge. This day is the time to relax in the stunning beauty in the Altyn Arashan gorge and take hot springs in the pools in nature.   • DAY 9: KARAKOL - ISSYK KUL LAKE

      This beach day on the shore of Issyk-Kul lake before returning home. Many of our guests preferred such a vacation after a multi-day horse tour.

  • DAY 10: ISSYK KUL LAKE - BISHKEK

      We head to the capital Bishkek for a sightseeing tour: the central Ala-Too square, Victory Square, National Philharmonic, Opera and Ballet Theater, the largest mosque in Central Asia.

  • DAY 11: BISHKEK - MANAS AIRPORT
